Tyler Parker's sixth inning home run was the difference Thursday night as the Peoria Chiefs downed the South Bend Silver Hawks, 3-2, in Midwest League baseball action.

Parker's one out shot off South Bend's Chad Scarberry snapped a 2-2 tie and helped the Chiefs to thier third straight triumph.

Mike Goss had three hits and scored both runs for the Hawks.

Scarberry (3-1) scattered nine hits and fanned seven over his six inning stint.
