The Cougars bats lay silent as they only had three hits and didnt score a single run for the first time this series. Well eventually all of the offense would have to take a back seat to the pitching, and there would have to be a low scoring game. This was that game as the Yankees beat the Cougars one to nothing.

The lone run came across the plate in the third inning against starter Jose Corchado. With two outs Rafael Rodriguez doubled to left. Willie Vasquez then took a pitch to center for a single to allow Rodriguez to score.

That would be the only time Corchado would really be in trouble the whole game, as he pitched six innings. Jose only gave up three hits, while walking one and striking out five. He retired the first eight in a row beofre the double by Rodriguez. Finishing off his day by getting a double play to end the sixth inning.

Daniel Fyvie pitched two innings and go out of a first and second one out situation in the eighth, with a double play. Manny Rodriguez pitched a perfect ninth.

Elvys Quezada started for the Yankees and I dont know how he got out of some of these jams that he put himself into. I think it might've been smoke and mirrors. He would last only into the fourth, giving up only one hit. His problem was he walked six while also striking out six. The worst of those innings was the third. With one out Luke Appert, David Castillo and Eddie Kim would recieve back to back to back walks to load the bases. Then magically Quezada would then strike out Brian Snyder and Dustin Majewski to wiggle out of the inning.

Notes
Brian Snyder went for a foul ball in the seventh inning and it landed in the stands, but Snyder looked to have hit his knee on the railing and had to come out of the game. After the game he said he was fine and would play tomorrow.
